The Titans 14U team win the 2007 Super Series National Championships

The Titans 14U team won the Super Series National Championships in Peoria, Az July 7-12.

Throughout playoff bracket play, timely hitting, quality pitching and solid defense propelled the Titans to the tournament championship.

In the final, the Titans defeated the Texas Thunder 3-2.  The Titans took an early lead in the first inning when Chris O'Neil scored on a wild pitch to make it 1-0.  In the third, they added to their lead as Mark Wangeman scored on a triple to left field by Albert Lin.

Lin's triple was followed by a single to right by Ryan Drobny to extend the lead to 3-0. The Texas Thunder scored their first run in the 5th and added a second in the 6th to close the gap to one.  The Thunder had the bases loaded with two outs in the sixth but the Titans held onto the lead when the Thunder's fifth place hitter grounded into a third to second fielder's choice to end the inning.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Thunder had runners on first and second but Corey Elliot struck out the final two batters to preserve the victory.  Chaz Meadows started and pitched 5 plus solid innings for the win.

Joey Wilson, Kyle Norris and Evan Heptig added hits for the Titans in the final game.

During pool play, Jake Popovich and Nick Tyrell had solid pitching performances.  Dylan Martinelli delivered some key hits while Jacob Rivera and Drew Bender played solid defense for the victorious Titans.
